As Brooklyn Museum show come to an end, CRAFT | BROOKLYN at the new Brooklyn Expo is on the near horizon, just in time for Christmas shopping. Modern Rustic at La Fonda del Sol Restaurant, NY

  New adventures in clay: I am debuting a new shape, a new use, new clay, and new challenges at the Spanish restaurant La Fonda del Sol at 200 Park Ave, NY.   The challenge:  To come up with a "rustic" set of taco trays in white to fit onto a 11" wooden tray.   The result: A new "Modern Rustic" look, with creamy white glaze on porcelain clay enhanced with grog, 6 oz. quarter bowls with a center bowl that fits 4" soft tacos (wood tray not included).  Better seen in person.  The chef treated me to tacos there and they were delicious!   ...

Visions in Clay 2015- Transverse

      "Transverse" was accepted in a jury show- The Visions in Clay at San Joaquin Delta College. It is on exhibit at LH Horton Jr Gallery between August 20th - September 17th, 2015. Opening reception is August 27th, 5-7PM. Transverse is a multi-day wood fire in a Naborigama style kiln. Thrown on a wheel in one single ring, cut and altered.
