Urban living focuses on more contemporary and modern approach.
Vases…I have them everywhere in my house. Full of flowers, or empty, they are perfect as centerpieces, mantle pieces, even on the floor. Most of my vases are oversized, The vases on this page range from 4 inches high to nearly 18 inches high and 10 inches in diameter. They are fired in large train and noborigama wood fired kilns for days on end, marked by the wood ash and flames. My shapes are often inspired by the simple urns and jars of ancient cultures, and then altered to suggest human gestures and form.
Whether sculptural, ancient-looking, or brightly colored, a vase is always an invitation to decorate your home with dried and fresh flowers.
I am reintroducing the chalice series. Redesigned for your home, your Chalice will make any moment special – whether a cup of juice to greet the morning or an intimate nightcap with the one you love.
A little bit of everything here in the RELAX collection. Vases, cups, platters… I have been working with variations on a soft, rounded shape and a custom-mixed clay with feldspar, and all the pieces here are splash-glazed with blue celadon, Korean celadon, shino, or some combination thereof. You will see some underglaze and slip here as well.
This quiet collection of wood-fired pieces are fired in both an noborigama and train kiln.
