vases

Vases…I have them everywhere in my house.  Full of flowers, or empty, they are perfect as centerpieces, mantle pieces, even on the floor. Most of my vases are oversized, The vases on this page range from 12 inches high to nearly 17 inches high. They are fired in either a train kiln or a  noborigama wood fired kilns for days on end, marked by the wood ash and flames. My shapes are often inspired by the simple urns and jars of ancient cultures, and then altered to suggest human gestures and form.

Whether sculptural, ancient-looking, or brightly colored, a vase is always an invitation to decorate your home with dried and fresh flowers.
