Bottle Vase 1

This elegant bottle vase is perfect of a single stem of rose or what ever you can think of. Its lip is altered to mimic the tip of the flower pedals. This vase is made with porcelaneous stoneware with Custer feldspar to give the “star burst” effect.

Fired in noborigama and reduce cooled for over 40 hours. A thick layer of porcelain slip applied as a finger paint under the blue grey celadon and green celadon glaze. The undulating surface is a perfect example to catch the volatile flying ash in the kiln.
