Two bubbles sphere on top of each other. Bubble vase is a made with porcelaneous stoneware with Custer feldspar to give it “star burst” effect. Fired in noborigama and reduce cooled for over 40 hours. A thick layer of porcelain slip applied as a finger paint under the glazes. Perfect example to show off the volatile flying ash in the kiln so each piece is unique. Since flying ash continue to melt on the piece, the “rougher” side was facing the firebox.
