Vases…I have them everywhere in my house.  Full of flowers, or empty, they are perfect as centerpieces, mantle pieces, even on the floor.

Crane with its extra long neck can be a sculpture or a vase. Glazed with Silky white and black underglaze. The hand wedged in Custer feldspar bust through the glaze with the “star bust” effect. Flying ash adds complexity to the glaze and showing off the volatile of flame in the kiln. Fired in a train kiln for over 35 hours. Inscribed black under glaze accentuate the abstract crane shape.
