Vases…I have them everywhere in my house. Full of flowers, or empty, they are perfect as centerpieces, mantle pieces, even on the floor.
A classic and elegant proportioned vase with green underglaze inscribe into the surface. The combination of carbon trap shino and ash glaze over the green underglaze intuit a feeling of tempest. The hand wedged in Custer feldspar bust through the glaze with the “star bust” effect. Flying ash adds complexity to the glaze and showing off the volatile flying ash in the kiln so each piece is unique. Fired in a train kiln for over 35 hours.
