Vases…I have them everywhere in my house.  Full of flowers, or empty, they are perfect as centerpieces, mantle pieces, even on the floor.

The ensō symbolizes absolute enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe, and mu (the void).

A classic and contemporary made with stoneware and porcelain slip. Ink painting using blue underglaze intuit a feeling of mu.The flying ash adds complexity to the carbon trap shino glaze and showing off the volatile flying ash in the kiln. Fired in a train kiln for over 35 hours.
