A trumpet tube on top of a sphere. Trumpet vase is a made with porcelaneous stoneware with Custer feldspar to give it “star burst” effect. Fired in noborigama and reduce cooled to show off the volatile flying ash in the kiln so each piece is unique. It is depending on the location in the kiln. The flying ashes melted on the side side of the tube to show off the crystalline glaze which happened during the reduction cooled process.
