This sipper is made with porcelaneous stoneware and Custer feldspar to give it “star burst” effect. A thick layer of porcelain slip applied as a finger paint and blue underglaze inscribed on the side. No glaze applied and fired in a train kiln to show off the volatile flying ash in the kiln so each piece is unique. It is all depending on the location in the kiln.
